Auto Flight Tracking Issues on Android Devices

Update your settings to get the best results

To set up your Android phone to work best with Pilot Life, there are a few settings to keep in mind.

Find your device manufacturer and follow the instructions to get the best results for Pilot Life's Auto Flight Tracking.

Samsung

  1. Open Settings > Apps > Pilot Life

    1. Notifications

      1. Allow notifications > Toggle ON

    2. Permissions

      1. Location > Allow all the time

      2. Location > Use precise location > Toggle ON

      3. Physical Activity > Allow

      4. Manage app if unused > Toggle OFF

    3. Battery

      1. Select Unrestricted

  2. Open Settings > Connections > Data Usage > Data saver

    1. If toggled ON

      1. Tap Apps that can always use data

      2. Find Pilot Life > Toggle ON

  3. Open Settings > Battery > Background usage limits

    1. Put unused apps to sleep > Toggle OFF

  4. Open Recent Apps view (|||)

    1. Find Pilot Life in the list (you may need to open Pilot Life before this step)

    2. Tap the Pilot Life icon

    3. Tap Keep open

Google

  1. Open Settings > Apps > Pilot Life

    1. Notifications > Toggle ON

    2. Permissions

      1. Location > Allow all the time

      2. Use precise location > Toggle ON

      3. Physical Activity > Allow

      4. Pause app activity if unused > Toggle OFF

  2. Open Settings > Apps > Pilot Life > Battery

    1. Select Unrestricted

  3. Settings > Network & internet > Data Saver

    1. If Data Saver is toggled ON

    2. Tap Unrestricted data

    3. Find Pilot Life > Toggle ON

Redmi

  1. Open Settings > Apps > Manage apps > Pilot Life

    1. Notifications > Toggle ON

    2. App Permissions

      1. Location > Allow all the time

      2. Enable Use precise location

      3. Physical activity > Allow

  2. Open Settings > Apps > Manage apps > Pilot Life > Battery saver

    1. Select No restrictions

      1. This is an essential setting as Redmi may stop Pilot Life's auto tracking service

  3. Ooen Settings > Connection & sharing > Data saver

    1. If Data saver is ON

      1. Tap Unrestricted apps

      2. Find Pilot Life > Toggle ON

  4. Open Recent Apps (swipe up and hold)

    1. Find Pilot Life

    2. Swipe down on the app card > You'll see a lock icon

Cubot

  1. Open Settings > Apps > See all apps > Pilot Life

    1. Notifications > Toggle ON

    2. Permissions

      1. Location > Allow all the time

      2. Enable Use precise location

      3. Physical activity > Allow

  2. Open Settings > Apps > See all apps > Pilot Life > Battery

    1. Select Unrestricted

  3. Open Settings > Network & internet > Data saver

    1. If Data Saver in ON

      1. Tap Unrestricted data access

      2. Find Pilot Life > Toggle ON

  4. Autostart (if available)

    1. This setting may not be available in all Cubot devices, if it's missing, skip

    2. Open Settings > Apps > Special app access < Autostart

      1. Find Pilot Life > Toggle ON

  5. Open Settings > Apps > Special app access > Battery optimization

    1. From the dropdown, choose All apps

    2. Find Pilot Life > Select Don't optimize

  6. Open Recents screen (swipe up and hold)

    1. Long-press the Pilot Life card

    2. If available, tap Lock or Keep open
